The No More Lazy Lover Altar and Video Blessing Kiosk is a traveling sacred space that promotes digital blessings and non-denominational, communal devotion. Participants who need a romantic blessing are encouraged to enter the installation and trigger a “video blessing” to play. Once the video plays (approximately 1.5 minutes in duration) participants are encouraged to petition the higher powers via a communal prayer box.

This iteration of the No More Lazy Lover Altar was made possible by the Albert P. Weisman Fund via Columbia College Chicago. This version of the installation was constructed in 2019 inside the Columbia College Arcade Gallery. The No Más Amante Perezoso prayer candle was made specifically for this installation via Curandera Press.

The culmination of the installation resulted in the production of the Excerpts From the Prayer Box zine, a limited edition publication with content collected from the installation’s communal prayer petition box.
